One quiet afternoon in Cagayan de Oro, I was listening to worship music while painting an abstract piece—just following intuition, color, and flow. Then a song came on: “Perfect Peace”. The lyrics stopped me in my tracks: “You keep me in perfect peace. I’ve found in You all I need, God.” As the melody moved through the room, I looked at my canvas—and there she was. Her face, hidden in the strokes, waiting to be revealed.
In that moment, I realized how often I had hidden myself—trying to fit into expectations that weren’t truly mine. This painting marked a shift. It was no longer just about abstract expression, but about letting the truth emerge. I brought her forward, not perfectly formed, but at rest—peaceful, grounded, free. That’s how I want to live too: surrendered, whole, and present in the Spirit.
This piece represents the deep clarity that came from letting go of the belief that I had to achieve peace. It reminded me that it already exists within me, in God, waiting to be uncovered.
“Perfect Peace” is not just a painting—it’s a turning point. A visual record of that sacred moment where art, worship, and self-liberation became one.
